Sinopsis:
Young doctor Kate is worried about the life of the old Lord Thaddeus Hartington. The grief about his obstinate homonymous son, who vanished many years ago after a dispute, will break the heart of the cardiac father. An extensive search brings Kate to the young Lord, who in the meantime has changed his name, and conducts a bookstore, and is a single parent of a 13-year old son, Jeffrey. She tries to gain the trust of father and son, and even falls in love with Thaddeus junior. The boy is keen to know something of his family, but his father is wilfull. As he learns, that Kate is only there to get him back to the old Lord, he is angry and breaks his tiee with her. So she leaves. But Jeffrey, now knowing about his grandfather, wants to see him and threatens to drive alone to Hartington Manor. Will the boy get his way against his father’s will?
